i'm home

okay.. here's some observations at the clinic...
i sat at the seat near just in front of the receptionist so i could hear what the others who came in had to say... but most that go there don't seem ill at all..
most are non-descript.. except for one... he looked nervous...
he went up there and muttered: "do you all do tests?"
"what kind of tests?"
"uhh... normal types of tests.. health check.. you know.."
"may i know what it's for?"
"uhh... you know.. blood tests... HIV.."
"you have to be more specific.. do you have a list of what you need, the doctor will want to know so that we can do specific checks to be accurate"
"uhh.. oh.. it's for the army"
"i think you better tell the doctor what tests you are looking for and he'll recommend a list of tests"
i'm thinking.. army?? for the army?? they have FFI tests... and HIV?? hmmm.. must have had a drunkened roll in the hay with someone and got scared

anyway, i went in there, took the next rounds of my Hep A & B jabs.. one expired.. so i have to go for 2 more.. oh well.. next month... around 17th i'll go...
doc had 2 interns.. was telling me before the jabs "this may cause aching" and i said go for it.. i was a medic.. don't worry about pain.. used to the 16G being stuck into my arm by a shaky hand...
he went on to rant to the 2 interns about the army being idiotic... no way in hell could a medic or anyone stick a 16G into a vein after the guy is going into hypovolumic shock... all veins will collapse..
seems that the army is also run by idiots

anyway, i'm home.. doc wanted to give me 2 days but i said come hell or high water, i have to be back at work tomorrow.. so it's one day medical leave...
now that i've taken my shots, taken my meds, waiting for the stuff to take effect and go knock out

hope you all have a great day ahead
