I got a pair of dress shoes from them and wore them till they couldn't be repaired anymore -
when i go to melbourne again, i'm going to go buy myself a pair of blundstones again... they're workboots.. heavy, brutal, and very comfortable

I wish Americans had the habit of visiting the cobbler.
I debated for so long over the pair I got. They were US$79 that's why I took so long to process that decision. I absolutely love how comfortable they are. The salesperson was sooooo nice to me. You know what she did? She brought out 10 pairs of shoes in various styles, they were scattered all over the floor and I had a blast trying them all.
I love the service you get here (most of the time.) -

I was told that MBA programs will tell you that it's not neccessary to know the tech to manage a technology business .... so we have the curious situation of business majors ordering boffins around in many places ... -

Bullshit: For many companies state of the art means a colour printer or maybe a shredder, but for others it's that high-end system that costs a fortune and does nothing it was bought for.
very apt.. the other section in the division bought a "state of the art" PC to do video-editing and all it does now is review DVDs because our PCs don't have DVD drives -

I am wearing a blundstone safety boots at the moment. That's given to me by my company. When you come here, perhaps you can try the Redback ones too. They are slightly more expensive but I think it's worth paying for the comfort.

yeah.. i'm a cheapo.. and when i dropped by the army surplus shop in the city during my last visit, they had blundstone only..
they have since been destroyed by combination of weather and hard use.. the soles disintegrated.. which made me wonder how good they are as "safety boots".. the top part was still almost in mint condition coz i keep slopping on shoe polish... they look gross after a while when working at the cargo bay
anyway, the boss is out of the office until wednesday
tomorrow when all are at the seminar, only 3 people are left in the office
wednesday, the boss and colleague are taking a day off...
things to deliver: a draft of a speech and other various miscellaneous things..
i'll do the speech later
p.s. yes.. the turtle food is disgusting.. and i think pinkybear still doesn't want to talk to me -
