if i'm the mod of AA i'll be shutting down every thread that will agonise the readers.

But what I think is that if my gf were to ever ask me to cease all contact with all my female friends, I would far rather dump her instead. As it is half of all my friends are female.
The way I see it, if I have to cut off all contact with my female friends, then it's only fair that she cuts off all contact with her male friends. That's what universalizability is all about: what applies to me shall apply to you as well.
But since I doubt that she actually would want to cut off contact with her male friends, then it would be hypocritical of her to insist that I not stay in touch with my female friends. And I cannot take a hypocrite as my Mrs Coyote.
So the TS is being even more extreme here... no friends at all for the guy? Sheesh.
Maybe I'm being pretty idealistic here... but that's my dua sen. -

And like you, I agree that even if she does do that, I certainly ain't gonna chop off half of my friends list just to make her happy.
The sad thing is, I've seen far too many instances of one party being overdomineering in the relationship - both males and females can be guilty of this.
And they don't realise how hypocritical their actions are. -

Anyway, I've applied the concept of reciprocity... since she sees it fit to block me on MSN and ignore my Friendster messages, I've blocked her back in return and removed her from my Friendster list as well.
