  thing is this.. i never figured out... they remove the expensive filling (lotus and other paste is not cheap to make well) and replace with cheap salted eggyolks (i like with teochew porridge) and then charge you an arm and a leg more for it?
  
  why don't buy some salted eggs, remove the white, eat with mooncake.. cheaper and you get more mooncake filling?

  uhh.. neighbour makes the tau chang
  
  and sometimes other neighbours also makes giant chang and gives to us.. along with braised pork trotters, vinegar trotters..
  
  a neighbour from Seychelles has relatives who visit and bring deep sea fresh fish for us too..
  
  but we like the chang very much.. sometimes the trotters are good, sometimes not as good... depending on which neighbour makes them...

  no idea.. it's the traditional teochew mooncake.. they've been making it like that for generations...
  
  and they are traditional in such that the mooncake is only available for 2 weeks a year.. they only start making them after the 7th month is over..
