It's indeed very competitive in Singapore. Feel sorry for the students who have to be under so much pressure over there.Originally posted by hisoka:forgot to add.
no offence but from my experience, unless they go to those good unis, or are those creme of the crop types, most of the sg who go aussie or elsewhere to do undergrads only, either they are poly students who are unable to get into local unis( well i won't say they are lousy since its hard to get in) and jc students who weren't able to get into local unis.
Sure, i agree.Originally posted by stellazio:well, dun u think the taxes are better spent on education the "increment"?![]()

Singaporeans are living in a very stressful environment and no wonder the suicide rates (esp those at MRT) are increasing. Many people suffer from depression with no one to turn to for help.![]()

Most engineering students graduated from there are good at the theory but not so good at practical. I think it's good to be taught both theory and practical. I heard Swinburne Uni is good at that.Originally posted by elindra:One of the hardest unis in Oz to get into

You're from Brunei? Rich country leh...with free education, and cars on the roads that nobody steals.Originally posted by honeymouse:And some decided to stay here for good after they completed the course, like me except I'm not Singaporean. If I don't stay in Oz, I'll most likely work in Singapore as a foreign talent as there's little opportunity in Brunei.![]()
