yeah recently I've been talking to a new colleague
she's been very upset with some of the things that's been happening at work
especially interpersonal relations...and I don't know how to console her
and really... human beings are... imperfect
its not that I dont notice the little 'non-niceties' that happen
but most of the time, the very same people are also pretty nice
just.. well.. imperfect
And while we take the measure of someone else...
its impt not to let it become our measure as well. -

i see a lot of "not nice" with my friends too.. but hey.. it's their yoke to bear not mine..
they probably see a lot of "not nice" in me too..
my path and their paths are not the same.. but hey.. i figure, let things slide.. besides, what binds a bunch of us together is that no matter what, we're there for each other, and that if one if happy, the rest are very happy for that one
in a month's time, we'll be again gathering for the wedding of 2 of them... we're bloody happy for them
one of them went through some really tough times with her divorce and we've been around if she wanted to talk about it... now she's found another in that group we're in, hey.. we're still smiling about it you know? -

Yeahhh!!! I'm also happy cos a friend of mine whom I've known since we were 7, (and had loads of quarrels, spats u know through the couple of decades give or take a few years) ... is pregnant! Its amazing to be given the opportunity to go through life together with someone

babies are cute as heck.. but i have to confess.. i have no idea how to hold a baby
anyway, the guy, we have said he's got himself an instant family
thing is, i've been hammered with the task of being MC at the luncheon.. coz i'm their "walking dictionary"
and the chinese part is being done by another of the mob.. actually the only one who can speak proper mandarin -

Well, I'm not thinking about marriage yet. Duh... I want to get my studies over and done with first.
In any case, I ideally want to get married before I hit 30... for the simple reason that I want my little coyotes to be self-sufficient by the time I retire. -
i would like to be able to do my part for bringing up cub..

Anyway, I think I should go sleep now.
I'll be giving tuition tomorrow at 10am.... and my students have requested a three-hour session.
Oh well... at least the hours are shorter than a restaurant job, and private tutoring is something that I can do well. And it does pay the bills.
*me mysteriously disappears in a puff of smoke* -
after reading for a few hours, i'm sleepy and it's started to rain heavily..
