From what I heard, it's due to its anti-Christian undertones... but I'm thinking that the real reason has got to do with its controversial political message. -

The reason I asked was that I watched the DVD of the movie for the first time last night and came away with the impression that the politcial commentary contained in the movie might not sit well with a Singapore audience. -

Anyway, I didn't think twice about plonking down $34.90 for the DVD, either... which is a pretty bold thing for a cash-strapped undergrad like me to do.
