lots of those in Singapore's secondary forests ..... these spiders actually migrate around on the ground ..... on really hot afternoons when nothing else stirs those will decamp and move along the ground trailing silk from their ass ....

hmmz wee talking baout food here?Originally posted by Fatum:oh well ... but there are lots of interesting things to see even in Singapore's denuded forests ......
I once saw a huge wild boar at a secluded area of the Pasir Laba Military Live-fire area ......
and once there was this ground nesting bird hoping around on the ground ... it kept hoping and limping in front of me, as if wounded .... but everytime I tried to go near it it hopped away from me ... then something from past documentaries triggered a light bulb in my mind ... I went back to the area where I first saw it and lo ! .... there was a nest with a clutch of pale blue, black speckled eggs on the ground ......... that was near an area where the SAF fires live M203 grenade rounds and machine guns ......

I wonder is it because of the rain
I saw the kitten today playing on it's own during lunch earlier behind my office
In that case....u can help mummy cat set up house - just provide a box & newspapers for sleeping, and maybe a litter tray.Originally posted by elindra:Sigh
