I miss peeling off the seehums from their shells and soaking them into bowls of chilli with vinegars and swallowing them.

friends and i used to do that at Pasir Panjang...
if you think i am bad with seehum (just ask tare.. she's seen me at them firsthand) you should see my other friends...
the table was heaped with shells, bottles of beer.. and blood was dripping off the table creating a mess on the floor

you know, I remember seeing huge hums the size of a fist for sale in Phuket .... and because hums go "squirt" when you bite into them and spew out their innards, I wonder what eating those monster sized ones would be like ...

i do that but not vinegar..
dark soy sauce with smashed garlic and chilli.. allow them to soak in the salty goodness for a couple of days in the fridge and eat with teochew porridge
