I kenna the pollen attack when I was in New Zealand too on a student exchange programOriginally posted by viciouskitty74:I had sandflies bites in Brisbane.
And my face swelled up and those red marks looks like pimples.
Took us a while to realise that I am not jetlag, I am feverish. Went doctors and pay obscene amount for sme medication.
Darn it Brisbane!
mine dun do tat too.... she just call me say she gog overseas har... anything dun call her, call my brosOriginally posted by elindra:No offense to Rhonda and VK but suddenly I am glad my mum is not a emotional drama queen and ask me for my opinion before she does anything for me![]()
She's far from being an emotional drama queen. She just wanted to spring me a surprise and nab the cheap tickets for the whole family. Since she had to submit names and passport details, I can't exactly back out. She told me the evening of the day she booked the tix, but by then, it was already departure time and she'd paid for it and oh well, too late.Originally posted by elindra:No offense to Rhonda and VK but suddenly I am glad my mum is not a emotional drama queen and ask me for my opinion before she does anything for me![]()

She usually leaves me alone but I guess she just really wanted a family thing.
It's just really unfortunate the tix are to Perth.![]()
Thanks but the tix are promotional stuff, not so flexible. Besides, the four other folks going along have all applied for leave already.Originally posted by viciouskitty74:Yah...I understand.
My mom does that too. I am only thankful she cannot afford to fly us anywhere. But everywhere in our lives, you see her making those sort of decisions for us, then tells us later.
Then when we grumble, she goes all drama, teary and cry heaven cry earth and we are ungrateful children issues all come out. Hope yours not as dramatic.
Try ask for the tour agency, and call them yourself to do a postphone, so your family can fly to Perth while you are flying back to Oz ? Maybe re-route your flight to Melbourne into Perth for them? Bring forward your trip back to a week before you were due back. So you can bring your family around.
That should hopefully solve your time issues?
Awwww....Rhonda, it looks like she does love your family to bits.Originally posted by Rhonda:She's far from being an emotional drama queen. Don't ask meOriginally posted by viciouskitty74:The strangest part....
I need antihistamine in Sinngapore.
In US & Aus.....I dont sneeze as badly in Singapore.
Singapore hor....is sneeze, runny eyes, sleepy, brain out of body sensations.
Talk about pollen. I worked in a flower distribution farm before. And ever since then, I can never understand my own age classmates with their romantic dreams of opening flowershop.
I was sneezing, crying, using up boxes of tissues while doing data entry at the aircon office keying in prices of those flowers shipped in from Cameron Highlands. And flowers were cheap.
That flower farm was also one of the first in Asia to be importing Tulips & Blue Roses.

Mom's not a drama queen, thankfully. She usually asks but this time round, she found out about the promotion and waited till midnight to apply for it and got it and she was so excited she didn't really stop to think.
This morning, I grumbled that I really dread flying back to Australia again so soon and she looked really sad.![]()
She just means well but it's all at the wrong time!! Sigh...
Well, I think you know enough to cheer up soon for the trip for your family.Originally posted by Rhonda:This morning, I grumbled that I really dread flying back to Australia again so soon and she looked really sad.![]()

PS. I don't want them THAT close to me!Originally posted by viciouskitty74:Awwww....Rhonda, it looks like she does love your family to bits.
Ar well, Perth is a retirement place. Maybe you can convince your family to migrate there instead?
I guess you have not met one who chases you hard enough yetOriginally posted by Rhonda:PS. I don't want them THAT close to me!![]()

It's not them, it's me. It doesn't take much to make me feel claustrophobic.![]()
I value and cherish my independance way too much!
That's why my friends all suspect that I'm commitmentphobic. That's why I always make the blardy mistake of rejecting men who are nice and ready to settle, and going after those who are out of reach.
It's not just cause of the Club 30 feasts. I mean, I'm not happy to miss the Zam Zam thing but can always drag Bear, elindra, and av there again, better still, smaller group. I'm not really a large group gathering person.Originally posted by viciouskitty74:Well, I think you know enough to cheer up soon for the trip for your family.
Go there, have fun irregardless. I am sure the club 30 will miss you, but hey, it also means you are coming back again and everyone can spread the festing longer instead of cramping it into this week.

Most of my classmates have romantic dreams of opening a flowershop
That I start to wonder is it normal for girls to want to open a flowershop
Maybe I'm just not romantic coz I think flowers is a waste of money
Or maybe I'm just practical![]()

Thing is, when they are so ardently pursuing me, I run for my dear life!! Then if suay suay they managed to corner me, I turn, well, nasty. Really nasty. Imagine a trapped animal.![]()
I hiss and I swat and ... well, hehe... not very nice to think about.
I might go after someone who rejects me constantly but be certain that once that person changes his mind and runs towards me, I'll run away!!![]()

Very gentle to you!
You're just seeing a near-perfect specimen of a commitmentphobic. And yes, got female versions too, it's not an exclusively male territory.
It's easy, really... the more you want something, the more you fear rejection, so the more you run. I only run away from the guys I really like, btw.![]()
