Well, yah, but that boy is like cheesed off with me because I sigh at his navity.Originally posted by Rhonda:Frankly, you won't know about a place unless you've been there and experienced it for yourself. You can only learn this much from reading and watching TV but it doesn't replace actual experience.
I asked tons of silly questions too prior to my two trips over to the US, simply cause I was curious, and wanted to be well-prepared.

i'm thinking...Originally posted by viciouskitty74:depends on what you need.
Room, services, tolietries, mobile phone service, food, clothing, equipments & transport.
At least USD30/- a day if you are eating out everyday. Thats to cover only food.
Thanks!!Originally posted by kopiosatu:harbourfront
its the NEL.
Room depends on the district and your choice of services. Hostels are the cheapest, next to motels which is like our Sg Hotel 81 prices.Originally posted by kopiosatu:i'm thinking...

You will definitely need the use of a laundrymat, either in the hostel or nearby where you stay, one time wash is about USD2/- and the Dryer same. So you might be looking at washing your laundry twice a week. If you bring all dark colours clothing.
transport, can rent a car, a budget of USD100/- per day including petrol & toll.
Food, a hot dog is USD3+ & a coke is USD $2/- depending on where you eat. Got USD1.50 hot dog, but its hard to find.
mobile phone service, you do easily pick up those pretty cheap nokia phone with prepaid card for USD50/- from any T-mobile shops. I got mine at USD30/- including a USD10 prepaid phone value.

Oh...at Venice. Easy. Its Santa Monica.Originally posted by kopiosatu:the food is scary, i'll grow fat in no time
