This push up thing reminds me of my BMT experience.
My whole damned company was made up of PES C blokes, and there were so many different permuations (e.g. C1 L2, C9 L2 etc) that the instructors gave blanket excuses for many activities instead of driving themselves insane from keeping track of who is excused from what, in the end my section felt so deprived of physical activity we all agreed to do 100 pushups every evening in our bunk before lights out. And we kept it up for our entire BMT.
P.S. we were ALL excused from push-ups so we had to do it secretly. -
