Actually, it's easier for a single lady here to set up house here than in say, Australia. At least here, furniture is affordable and they come already assembled and delivery costs aren't that high. -

Her husband and her carted the furniture onto their little wagon and drove it all the way to my house and assembled them for me in two trips! I was sooooo touched!
Then, when I had to assemble my own furniture and was kpkb about it, Bear's sis said next time she'll come over and help!
I find that when I was living alone in Singapore, everything was easier to manage by myself. It's a whole different ball game when it's Australia!
Still, I shan't forget the time when I had to pack up and move out and quite a few buddies came over and visited me and helped me. Those are true friends. On the flip side, I shall also remember those who didn't / refused to. -
