but.. sadly, i think the boss has promised some people we will be there at that time...
can't even take a miserly Friday off for the weekend..

Alvin opens restaurant in cultural exchange
Celebrity chef and bodybuilder Alvin Koh has opened his new Singapore Heritage Restaurant at Surry Hills in Sydney in an exchange of culture, enterprise and goodwill between Australia and Singapore.
International Enterprise of Singapore, an agency of the Singapore Government, is supporting the new restaurant as a venue for the exchange.
It opens for dinner each Tuesday to Sunday from 6 pm to midnight and for lunch, with a special Yum Cha set menu called the "Seven Wonders", each Saturday and Sunday from 11 am to 4 pm.
Alvin is the executive chef and a co-founder of the new restaurant where he employs a new team of Australian service and kitchen staff.

Actually, come to think of it, I love Nursing more and more. I'm not interested in getting any promotion and the shift work nature of the typical nurses' role in Australia means that we don't need to work OT, and if we do, we can claim for it (if it's justified).
Before I left, they asked me to precept a nursing student for two days. Gee, I hope it's just a one-off request! Please don't have any designs on me!! Just let me do my job and let me go home when it's time to. -

The sad thing is that most parents prefer Chinese-speaking females.
Heck, my own aunt herself said that she wouldn't have hired me to teach her kids if I wasn't her nephew. And before the first lesson, she kept reminding me to go easy on my cousins - as if I'm gonna chew them up or something.
Well, at least she had a change of heart after she saw their results shoot up.

anyway, heres whats happening at my day.
Today is Sunday.
Family went to California Anneheim Disneyland for breakfast Brunch with the grandparents and the new sister in law.
I was dragged along and got a free meal.
Food was so so, the Hawaiian Grilled Salmon was the only good thing on my plate. I went back for fourth.
Then, sis and brother in law took the kids into the Disneyland for the rides. I went jalan jalan at Downtown Disneyland and did some window shopping.
Eventually plonk myself at a bakery and waited for them.
Bought, a bagfull of sour jellybeans. Its is expensive at Disneyland. Munch Munch munch.
Only souvenir I bought at Disneyland. A clip type fridge magnet costing USD$4/-.
I was telling my sister that I bought it. Its because its under USD$5/- Anything else above that price is considered overpriced and expensive. COS THEY ARE ALL MADE IN CHINA!
