really? now, I really have to go...Originally posted by viciouskitty74:Their pineapple tarts are also really good.
You can smell and taste the butter in it.
And the pineapples are not so sweet. There is texture instead of the lump of pinapple mush.
can leave out the potassium... I did and it still came out all right...Originally posted by Wanda:Er...where to buy potassium in Sg?
I wonder if Phoon Huat sells such things...?
Wahh... all that work for 8 pieces of chicken??!Originally posted by breytonhartge:this involves marinating the chicken first for at least 4-5hours...
marinate...
2 tablespoons of potassium, 2 tablespoons of salt, 1/8 tablespoon of garlic powder, 1/3 cup of bottled chicken concentrate, a dash of white pepper, 5 cups water...
mix all the above together, and soak the chicken in it... best if done for 24 hours under refrigeration... can use MSG but I tend not to...
next you will need...
1 egg well beaten
2 cups Milk
2 cups all-purpose flour
2 teaspoons ground pepper
3 tablespoons salt
1 teaspoon MSG (optional)
1/8 teaspoon Garlic Powder
1/8 teaspoon Baking Powder
3/4 teaspoon Cayenne Pepper
1 dash paprika
Preheat deep fryer to about 350deg.
In a small bowl, combine the egg and milk. In a separate bowl, combine
the remaining dry ingredients. Dip each piece of chicken (which was previously marinated...) into the milk until fully moistened. Roll the moistened chicken in the flour mixture until well coated. Working with one piece at a time, first dip in egg and milkthen coat the chicken with the dry flour mixture, then the
egg and milk mixture again, and then back into the flour. Be sure that each piece is coated very generously. Stack the chicken on a plate or cookie sheet until each piece has been coated. Drop the chicken, one piece at a time into the hot oil. Fry half of the chicken at a time (4 pieces) for 12-15 minutes, or until it is golden brown. You should be sure to stir the chicken around halfway through the cooking time so that each piece cooks evenly. Remove the chicken to a rack or towels to drain for about 5 minutes before eating.
above should do about 8 pieces of chicken...
I know, but its much cheaper to cook at home.. hehehe... besides you can vary this recepie...Originally posted by SydneyLibrarian:Wahh... all that work for 8 pieces of chicken??!
