Thing is, they'll end up taking the seat of someone else who bothered to notify us and then when that person turns up, he/she will be the one who's deprived of a seat because of gatecrashers!Originally posted by av98m:I dun fucking care. I mean, all are welcome to join us, but at least, have the courtesy to indicate interest.
I love hot food...Originally posted by honeymouse:Nandos not bad. The chips are not as good as KFC and Red Rooster though. Make sure you order Peri Peri chips (with some spice sprinkled on it). I love their extra hot chilli sauce. If you can't take hot food, just go for the mild version.
I don't usually see Charcoal chicken at the fish and chip shops here but yeah.... where they cook ("grill") the chicken using Charcoal. I like it at the local shop because they use fresher chicken than those you get from Red Rooster and supermarkets.
I just noticed that also!Originally posted by av98m:WTF![]()

I'm starting to question if God is trying to tell me something like 'Don't apply for PR!'.
hey Rhon, if you are serious make the application since you are already back in SG... but you can lodge it in Aussie if you like. Besides with your profession, they would give it to you almost right away... shortage you know...Originally posted by honeymouse:![]()
Regarding your PR, do you really have to apply from Singapore? Can you apply from NZ (as long as it's outside Australia)?
I think it really depends on how much you like Australia that you want to stay here permanently. When there's a will, there's always a way.![]()
Thing is, I'm applying because of the benefits. Besides, I'm paying hefty taxes and hospitalisation insurance so I feel I ought to apply for PR to get Medicare and reduced insurance rates.Originally posted by honeymouse:![]()

If I apply through my hospital, the process would be really speedy. Colleagues did that and provided all required documents are submitted as requested, they received their PR in as little as 3-6 months flat.Originally posted by breytonhartge:hey Rhon, if you are serious make the application since you are already back in SG... but you can lodge it in Aussie if you like. Wow.... an architect. It's quite a competitive market here and can also be difficult when dealing with clients who don't pay.Originally posted by breytonhartge:me live in Aussie... and I work from home... have my own architects firm.

apply independently, its best, you have a profession that is in demand, so no problems there... also, get your docs certified here, the justice of the peace here signs certified copies for free... unlike sg... and they should be available almost everywhere... you really want to stick with private... public can be quite bad.Originally posted by Rhonda:If I apply through my hospital, the process would be really speedy. However, I'm not so sure that I want to remain in this private hospital. I really would love to try public, but the team leaders are starting to give me opportunities and I guess I've kinda gained their trust so things are starting to change a bit for me. I'm stuck between staying so that I can enjoy the training opportunities, and leaving for a public hospital where the work will be more challenging and of a wider scope, but where I'll have to work hard to gain the trust of my team mates all over again.
It's due to this uncertainty that I thought it would be best to apply for PR myself. fymk did warn me that if I were to apply for PR via the hospital, and then change employment before the stipulated period of contract is due, my PR would then be revoked. That's why she advised me to apply independantly so that irregardless of whatever career moves I make, my PR will always be with me.
tell me about clients who don't pay... did this proposal for a client for a full shopping village and he only paid like $1000 of his $25000 bill... sigh...Originally posted by honeymouse:Wow.... an architect. Life in private is 'cushier' compared to life in public, I guess. But the cases we see here are mundane, boring, and I kinda miss the action I used to get working in SGH in Singapore.Originally posted by breytonhartge:apply independently, its best, you have a profession that is in demand, so no problems there... also, get your docs certified here, the justice of the peace here signs certified copies for free... unlike sg... and they should be available almost everywhere... you really want to stick with private... public can be quite bad.
I heard many stories like that..... can you do anything about it??Originally posted by breytonhartge:tell me about clients who don't pay... did this proposal for a client for a full shopping village and he only paid like $1000 of his $25000 bill... sigh...
