I loved a particular brand of vegetarian noodles from Taiwan. THink it's also from Tong I.
I think when it comes to good texture in the ramen, the Koreans do it well. Nong Shim's Spicy Mushroom is so darn good, one of my Aussie colleagues eat the instant cup version almost everyday!
I love the Korean instant Ja Jyung Myun (cha jiang mian), the Korean-ised version of a Chinese noodle dish, first introduced to Korea by this Chinese restaurant in Chinatown and it has since caught on amongst the Koreans big time. -

we used to make tacos and other things too..

Well, my parents and my elder sister will be going off for a pilgrimage next month.
I can't come along since it clashes with my ICT.
In any case, I think it'll be a good opportunity to test my culinary 'skills'.

anyway, i like the Yee Mee from Muar.. can't find the stuff in Singapore.. doesn't have the 'oily' taste in the normal Yee Mee.. and very nice soft texture yet slightly chewy -
grew tired of nong shim now......the texture of noodles of the cup and the packet diff leh, actually most brands also liddat, maybe it's the way u cook it....
cup just pour hot water, packet cook or dump into microwave oven... -

my fav instant noodles is this thai brand. in sg they have the tom yam flavour, but in thailand u can buy the black pepper flavour too. plus the one u buy from thailand much more spicy.
duno called mama brand or sth like that.
