I think when it's time to retire or be in semi-retirement, I would love to volunteer at some animal shelter.

i've always wanted to do something for the church..
however, erratic hours at work get in the way.. -

She encouraged me to 'go for it' but I told her I wanted to work behind the scenes, y'know, like distribute food and water to the firemen like that, not be in the front of raging fires! 
Turns out you have to take no paid leave to do that. I can't afford to do that now. Maybe when I've settled down and can afford to do just that.
I think once I learn how to drive, it'll be much easier to get around. Only then can I actually think of volunteer work. -
