I slept at 12.30am. Woke up at 6.30am for morning prayers.
I tried to go back to sleep... but I ended up in the twilight zone; neither awake nor asleep. I kept hallucinating about lots of things - work, talking to other people.... and thinking about her.
In the end, I got up at 7.30am after one hour of being in the twilight zone.

I was busy in the bedroom, reading other forums when I hear my neice screaming and crying.
I went out to check...and finds my borther in law telling me, its because she wants to climb up the window ledge and he dont want her too.
So little gal was having a contest of wills with her daddy.
So there I go. Pick her up, make a Wheee sound and land her feet on the ledge. To which she promptly sat down and swing her baby legs from that low ledge.
She then pull my hands and indicated she wants me sitting on that ledge too.
I do that and she was playing with the colour bracelet on my wrist. Then when she finally has her fill....I bring her down from the ledge.
She then sorts of runs to her exasperated & tired daddy and gave him a soft kick.....then she goes to play with her other toys.
Which she promptly brings to her father to play her toys with her daddy.
It was so kinda hilarious....Contest of wills, between a 1.5 year old and a 40+ year old. -

Well... I'll be working today. 4.15pm - 12.45am.
And for next week, apart from days off on Wednesday and Saturday, I'll be working the exact same shift.
Sigh... maybe I shouldn't have told my I/C that I can take on any shift. -
Shift work at this point in time is good experience for you, fudgester. Gives you an experience of whether you like it, and allows you to be able to empathise with those who are on shift work. So how are you? What are your plans for today?
I'm sitting here, converting as many of my CD's into MP3's as I can! It turned out that shipping over to Melbourne is way too costly and not worth it, so I'm trying to cram the songs into my MP3 player!
Sigh... sitting here, feeling very greedy! Want to eat Mee Siam, Mee Rebus, Lontong... all at once! -

GO do some physical activities to knock yourself out, then you'll be able to sleep. It's not that easy to sleep in the day for night duty though. -

You might want to buy a 1GB thumb drive to store them... they cost less than $50 these days. -

I should've bought that portable HDD when I went shopping the other day. I never thought of it. It's kinda too late now cause I need to start packing.
