anyway, i still think within temptation and nightwish is much much better than evanescence...
then again.. i didn't really enjoy their first album that much..
maybe not my genre...
there's only so much goth one can take before one starts to laugh hysterically

Actually if you listen to music without having pre-conceived notions of the genre, you might like Evanescence more because if they were really very goth, I wouldn't be able to stomach them either. -

i don't.. when i first heard them, i didn't know whatever it is they were.. thought cool.. then it got old pretty fast.. seriously.. about as fast as that "you're beautiful" dirge
just like KoRn.. they were cool in the beginning but as their album drags (and i mean drags) on, it's just... grating after a couple of listens..
KoRn started the sound which is still being used now with Limp Bizkit (don't even ask what that means) and Linkin Park.. all good for a couple of listens and then maybe put away for ages before the next listen..
