but the "astute businessmen" are doing honest work too even if it hurts pple who work at the companies they dismantleOriginally posted by fudgester:Which is precisely why the virtues of honesty have to be inculcated in children since young.
You let them cheat at school and get away with it, they may grow up having no qualms about pulling a fast one on others in order to get ahead.
And this mentality may stick with them into adulthood.... that's when they evolve from academic cheats to financial cheats.

how 'honest' it is when i buy and take apart something, knowing it will destroy a lot of people's lives, and still do it?
think about this... you are on a respirator.. i buy the respirator and dismantle it for parts.. you drop dead..
or.. you are on a wheelchair... i buy it from the hospital and sell it for scrap.. you have no more wheelchair...
law-abiding?
maybe...
but.. hey.. it sure isn't honest to me

Recently, I can't remember in which country, a woman was (for some reason) in arrears for her utility bills. The power company technician went to her house, and despite being told that she needs the breathing apparatus that is plugged into the mains to stay alive due to a medical condition, the guy cut off the power supply.Originally posted by hisoka:yeah i'm back.![]()
