The reason they give for the price hike is so stupid
NETS, which is owned by DBS, OCBC and UOB, said the hike is necessary to stay competitive against international debit cards, which have higher charges and offer more attractive returns to card issuers.
How the FUK is that being competitive???
You stay competitive by being the low cost provider of alternate form of payment -
at those types of shops, i usually do...
i know about their incuring costs for VISA and all that.. NETS too.. but sometimes, i still use NETS as the costs for them is small..
now.. i'll pay them cash for all transactions
i'm going to ask the finance section fellas how much we are paying NETS now coz most of the things done in this building is cashless -

I have ZERO benefit from using a NETS card
I like it coz it's like cash without having to carry paper money on me
I might as well just charge everything to my credit cards now if I don't have cash on me coz their are rewards too -

I hardly use Nets. Only when I've run out of cash and they don't accept CC.
