Always a long queue for the fried fish cake and the uncle fries them fresh so it's really hot -

Ya...something like that is fine. Mine was just ROM followed by a lunch for immediate / close family members in a pte room at the restaurant. Never thought about how I want my wedding to be like
How I want my dress to be like etc
Heck I married earlier than I wanted too just coz of the HDB
We were planning to get married when I was 28 but got married at 26 instead
And coz we bought the HDB real fast
And got the keys real fast
We had to get married real fast too if we wanted the grant
But I guess it's good that I really hate going to ceremonies (I would have skipped my graduation ceremonies if my mum didn't drag me there) and that our parents really didn't care how we wanted to marry (Though we couldn't just get away with just signing the paper; would have done that if I could get away with it)
So in the end it was a buffet thingy with free seating
Actually hor my wedding really no frills
Didn't even get a wedding gown (I know my mum was disappointed)
And no studio pics -

even IF i do ever get marry again, i doubt i'll go thru all that.... my parents prob won't pressure me for banquets [they can't even for the 1st time]...
but i dun mind the wedding gowns and photography and honeymoon.... -

And we had 13 tables
Supposed to be 3 only then my Grandma wanted to invite this aunty and that aunty and uncle blah blah blah
Then to be fair my husband side have to invite ppl too
Could have been more but I told my mum to talk to them coz if I had to add another table, I'm cancelling everything and just ROM and put an annoucement ad in the papers that we are married

^5 on the no wedding gown and no studio pics, and I was dragged by my mum to take graduation photo at the studio...(we almost fought on that one, so I had to give in
).
After we were married, we once stepped into a photo studio just to see if we want to take studio pic....and my! The amount of touting once we stepped in was enough to make us run out of the shop within minutes. We never made any enquries again. -
