Plenty with them customised ones. I remember having to lug that darn CPU 3-4 times to Sim Lim Sq for help a few years back when I kept getting PC problems with the hardware conflicts and what-not. 
And that was back when I was working with CPQ and definitely more knowledgeable about PC's and able to remove the cover and do things to the insides, stuff that I definitely cannot do now cause I'm way too outdated.

Best to ask a friend who is good with PCs to give you the specs for your budget and fix it up

I can't believe I'm still using a pentium 4.
but unless I start playing games regularly again I'm not going to need a faster PC -
Actually, you know what... I've got friends here but they're all married / attached so whatever time they have outside work is spent with their partners, that's why I don't get to go out with them much.
We've tried planning outings and all that but things always get cancelled / postponed.
It's alright now though... now, I'm the one fending off some invitations from people I find a tad ... 'dubious'. -

Applecare gives you ON-SITE support..
they COME to you and fix whatever it is.. and if they cannot, they'll replace the whole thing..
all you have to do is to purchase it
but you rejected that...
even when you can buy an Apple and run XP on it..
there are some bullet-proof parts which you can install too.. however, software problems, no one can help you.. no warranty will be applicable if you get virii or those things..
most of all, i didn't know anything at all when i first got my first x86 based PC.. i learnt..

buy the XP for dual-boot from them.. slap it in the Apple.. wait..
click the bits..

that's the thing about Apple.. you don't need to know the fiddly bits because there aren't any fiddly bits
and when you're at AppleCentre, you can see the range of games made for Apple.. they have the types of games you like to the intense types like WoW and Return to Wolfenstein.. and Blizzard supports both Windoze and OSX and sells the game in a box which can be run on either..
