Dear Mr XXX
Debit cards work in a way that all your debit card transactions amount
will be earmarked (ie. Put on hold). When you first perform the
transaction using your Debit Card, our system will check if you have
sufficient funds in your account. If you do not have sufficient balance
in your Savings Account, the debit transaction will not be able to go
through.
Debit Card is different from Credit card whereby a credit limit will be
given customer for Credit Cards. Credit Card will not touch on your
Savings Account's existing balance. Payment to credit card can be done
when the bill statement is received.
Hence, you do have sufficient funds for all your previous debit card
transactions.

I feel frustrated.
they just sent me this email.
But my situation was: Friends transferred monies to me to buy stuffs in USA.
But the monies is still stucked at Ledger Balance and cannot be utilised.
The bank people are saying that the amount on hold was my previous purchases. -

Looks like I need to do some funds transfer from the current a/c to the savings a/c to buy some stuffs.
But......I darn worried that if I transfer funds over to the savings a/c, it will be held hostageby the DBS bank in the ledger balance.

I've had money set aside by the bank for over 2 months after purchases because the merchant for some reason was damned slow at billing -

it's a normal burger.. just slightly bigger..
