just that things are getting more complicated and more traditional
like earlier the "guo4 li3" part... at first said just bring 4dian jing over [we follow teochew] den my mother said ok... den dunno why suddenly got so many other stuff den my mother wasn't prepared for it...
the angpows were nt enuff... my mother need to return certain stuff which she didn also.. becos she wasn aware that its more than just the jewellery coming over...
the guo li thing ended on a pretty ugly note on my side of the shyt..
and somehow..... recently we had more arguments than we did when we were trying to get the rom thing gg...
the rom thing was supposed to be my happiest day.. somehow everyone just helped to ruin it...
i just wanted to go there say my vows, sign the shyt den get out of the place.
the other stuff were just extras that i didn wan. 1 look at the pix taken that day... and its obvious i wasn happy AT ALL

if u fail 2.4, you fail everything. if you fail 1 station it is partial failure, if u fail 2 stations then you have to retake the whole thing.
there are 4 stations AND 2.4km
so my next round i'll just appear just to do chin ups.
2.4 cannot be the first station, it is always the last one. -

Dont worry too much about the return of some gifts from your mother's side, you can still do that returning stuffs on your actual tea ceremony day.
I think most traditions requires that when the guy goes over to the gals house to bring the bride home to her mother's place, he still has to bring some gifts, like maybe a roast pig, some oranges and some more angbaos.
What you can do, is after the tea ceremony at your mothers, you return to your husband's home, to bring some of the items that was not originally returned on the 'guo da li' ceremony back to your husband's home as 'dowry'. That is traditionally okay. So dont fuss too much.
I am sorry you werent happy on your ROM. It reads like you got too many people at the ROM and they were inconsequential people being 'indian chiefs' at your big day?
Well, I hope you are happier at the honeymoon. Why dont you consider going to the ROM at your honeymoon location and any other locations you visit with your hub and do your vows again?
I remember long time ago, SBC actors Chen Zhi Chai & Xiang Yun, after they ROM in Singapore, honeymoon in Vegas USA and did their vows again at Vegas. They were saying they are going to do it at every country they visit. So...if they ever think about divorce, the hassle of divorcing in every country of the world is most likely make they dont want to divorce liao. -

no more sit and reach, if have i SURELY fail.
u can't get 2.4 as your first, there's a sequence. 2.4 usually is the last.
not sure if anywhere else practises 2.4 being the first exercise -

How did you fare, and when's the next one? -

Then again, some men got worse injuries... I had to escort two of them to NUH this morning.
2. Spent my 24th birthday in the jungle.... If that wasn't miserable enough, I spent five hours in the pouring rain throughout the night.
3. Possibly the only good experience: I got to ride in a Chinook for the first time.
Prior to this I've rode on the UH-1H and the Super Puma, but I've never boarded a real flying Chinook before. -

Well, those two guys weren't badly injured.... one twisted his ankle and the other dislocated his knee during the exercise. Anyway, the Chinook was for heli-insertion.... the entire battalion was inserted at an LZ a few kliks away from the objective. We then had to walk the rest of the way through extremely dense foliage in the darkness through undulating terrain... it was pure torture for us NSmen who haven't been doing this sort of thing in years.
Not sure if I can say exactly where the LZs are, though. Sorry. -

You're lucky you had an opportunity to ride the Chinook. I never had the chance to ride any helis during my NS. -
