honeymousey, got a question for you ... if I want to visit your village in Animal Crossing, what do I need to equip my DS Lite with?
I'm playing the game now but so darn bored with it cause it's in real time and quite a drag!
So far, have only managed fishing, planting flowers, that's about it. I'm not successful every time I cast my line either. 
Have been running errands for a few of the towns folks but just wondering, what the hell is the game really about?

Hey, go look at this property that's being developed near my place. It reminds me of Singapore - crowded tiny townhouses with vertical spaces, no gardens nor backyards, blardy 72 townhouses crammed into a small area but will have luxurious finishes and a kitchen equipped with Miele products! I think, very good investment opportunity but not cheap at A$430K - over 600K a townhouse!

Richmond is close to the city so it will always be expensive and the return will not be as significant as compared to Ringwood since they are now extending the Eastern Freeday which makes the area more attractive.
BTW, we now have Krispy Kreme in Eastland.

You can catch different fish and donate to the museam. Also, everyday you can dig up some fossils and bring it to the museum to donate. Try to collect furniture, carpet and wall paper and decorate your house. Everytime you pay off your mortgage, you can expand your house.
Shake the trees, you can get $$ and furniture from it.
If you want to come to my town, you need to be either next to me or you need to be in a spot with wireless hotspot.
I can spend the whole day doing different things - fishing, catching bug, finding fossil, etc.... fun!!! -
Not my day off, but I'm on evening shift today.
Yeah, Richmond will always be expensive. I need to start somewhere though, and this will be a good place for me to start because I won't need to get a car for easy access to trams and train here, plus it's close to the city.
Think after I get my PR, I'll go get a home loan, then get a cozy 2-bedroom apartment to start off. Can sell it later and use the money to get a car, then move further out to the suburbs. Maybe, move to Ringwood even! -

I sold the oranges from the fruit trees for $$ at the grocery store but didn't know you could get furniture from shaking the trees!

Yesterday was the foggiest day ever in Melbourne. Walking home at night after work, it felt like I was walking in the streets of London in the era of Jack the Ripper like that! So 'atmospheric' and a really good setting for some horror flick!
And oh, honeymouse, you have to get that new game for the DS, "Cooking Mama"! I read about it, went to get it, and simply love it! -

I will have to take up a 100% loan because to save up that 2% will take me far too long and in the end, it's a lot of monthly rent down the drain. Spoken to a few colleagues and was told that these days, there are 100% loans on offer with lower interest rates than before.
Would love to talk to you and Richard about this though because you guys know more. Besides, I'm quite bad with money stuff. -

I almost got that Cooking Mama game too but my son wanted the Mario Party 8 so he won. But but but, next chance I get, I'm getting it and then I'm getting the Brain Age Wii Academy after. Yesh, I'm now a Wii fan. -

It's quite fun! You have a few dishes to cook, and you go through the steps like chopping, cutting, slicing, frying, boiling, etc. Each time you successfully cook one dish, you get a new recipe to cook!
There's even a section where you can combine recipes to come up with new dishes too!
Depending on how well you fare in the cooking process, you get a Bronze / Silver / Gold coin above that dish.
Really quite fun! Simple, but very entertaining. I like games like that - colourful, nice graphics, easy-to-play, and possible to win. -
Also, the quicker you pay off your home loan in the game, the quicker you get a better shop. You only need to donate the same fish once to the museum and after that just sell it to Nook. Some fish and bugs worth a lot of bells.
In summer you can catch shark, eel, etc. Try to plant many flowers as they attract different bugs.
Next time when you come to my place, bring your DS lite with you, you can wonder into my town and you can get different fruits from my town. I have cherry, orange, peach and coconut.
My local fruit is cherry so it doesn't worth much. But the rest worth 500 bells each. Coconut worth 800 bells. -
