I wonder why they call having children 'investing in the future' when you look at the world and there really isn't much future to talk about (environmental, political, competition etc etc)

it is because they never go early enough.. all the places taken already by parents who do 'volunteer work' since the child is 2..
and primary school teachers have it the toughest.. the brats are totally indisciplined because of parents who don't know the first thing about responsibility and parenting.. half the time is spent trying to keep order in the class..

my relative(mom's side) volunteers in the so called grassroots and in the end, they had to write countless letters to the MOE to get my cousin a place in pri school -

Tell me about it
When my cousin found out her daugther (my niece) refused to mix with Indians
She transferred her out of the school immediately to a neighbourhood school in Serangoon
She was like no racisim sentiments allowed to breed at such a young age
I applaud her really coz how many parents will actually do that! -
I thought it was a publicity stunt like McMahon but apparantly not
