How's your workday so far?
My workday is just beginning--it's a little past 9 a.m. on my side now. Pretty quiet at the office as a lot of people either telecommute or take off on Fridays.
Next week is going to be even quieter--Independence Day (July 4th) falls on Wednesday, and the majority of people will be taking most or all of next week off. Except me, that is.

I like to work when the office is quiet with many people on leave. There's less work (hopefully), less congestion, and the lifts arrive faster. But it does mean that I'll be pushing up against the "use it or lose it" 275 hours/year vacation time limitation for public employees.
Anyway, I have a project deadline that I have to meet in July, so I can't afford to take vacation time, even during the week of the 4th. But at least, as you've pointed out correctly, there will be less people in the office and hence less distractions next week. -
