  i know the feeling.. i used to work shifts..
  
  but when you've got an office hours gig like i do, it really sucks to have to work weekends..

  Steamed Cod with Ginger Orange SoySauce
  
  I need to use a bigger plate. Don't look that nice all cramped up. Those brown thingy you see at the side is fried ginger.
  
  Made a soup too but didn't take pics. (Coz u can't see much anyway ><)
  Basically it was a simple clear chicken stock soup base with fresh mushrooms and this chinese herb which I can't remember the name (U know those long white slices like some kind of white tree bark)

  oh well.. my back is killing me.. hopefully, today will pass smoothly..
  
  and this week too so i can go on my 1 week of leave and rest my weary bones

  One of my co-workers called me last night... she offered to switch my 10am - 6.30pm shift with her 4.30pm - 10pm shift today.
  
  I was glad to make the trade... honestly, I've lost the mood to work.

  not enough rest.. so i think the middle back stiffened up and is affecting the lower back...

  yeah tt mood to work stumped me for a moment!! Shift work is difficult I feel... ok maybe not so bad if don't include graveyard shift

  Yeah, well..... I'll tell my supervisor later that I'm quitting at the end of next week, on the 15th.
  
  I had actually told him beforehand that I planned to quit on the 22nd.... but I really don't feel like working that one extra week. This means a loss of $200++ in potential wages, but my sanity's worth a lot more than that.
  
  I'm sure he'd try to psycho me to stay.... and I can't blame him for doing so, considering our severe manpower shortage.
  
  But the way I see it, I've been doing nothing but work and reservist for the past few weeks.... and I'm supposed to be on vacation from school, damnit.

  I used to do graveyard shifts but my body system just doesn't 'coordinate' with my shift work. When my hubby did graveyard shifts also... I always felt a little sad u know, to have to say byebye even though technically while I was sleeping, I should not miss him.
  
  Fudgie - its ok to treasure ur holidays afterall when u really start to work like.. err out of school.. its precious few holidays left for the rest of your life. 11 days a year I think.
