i'm a combat medic...
but then, i've not been combat-fit for the past 10 years... and the unit still hasn't done anything about posting me out or anything.. they'd rather have a medic who cannot move out with the unit and have a pretty orbat, than to do the paperwork and get a proper medic

i still remember one of my first job interviews... the guy wanted to know when my usual reservist stint was... because if i went off, and the other guy in that little unit went off at the same time, that whole unit would have to shut down.. and unfortunately, if the ICTs clash, he could not hire me..Originally posted by av98m:because less and less people believe in it

His reason? The foreigner doesn't have to go for annual ICTs, IPPTs, and all the other reservist callups. -

It gets worse. We're going to reach the point where foreigners make up over 50% of the total population in a few generations(assuming there isn't a sudden economic depression the the foreigners leave in droves). actually it was more about ns/conscription rather than recruitment -
since so many pple complain abt ns, unfair treatment, etc.... it does make born-in-sg singaporeans feel like 2nd class citizens....
question is.. is it better to be 2nd class citizens here or be 4th class PR/citizen in a foreign country... -
