$16/month for a coverage of $100,000. Normally at the end of each year they would refund me about half the premium I paid, depending on the number of claims they had over the previous year.
Been considering reducing my coverage.... $16/month is a little steep for students like me.

If you think that's bad you'll be horrified at how much insurance can cost you. Even so, insure yourself the minute you start working, much cheaper and safer in the long run. little boss gog for a long meeting till after lunch... i have to make sure i get him to sign as many stuffs possible b4 he kenna dragged in!!!
and i can't believe i need to nag at him to put on a tie!!! it took him almost 1 hr to finally willing to put it on

Anything that's free will always have some benefits taken away. And anything free from a big company will always have lotsa crap benefits and funny regulations.

That said, I may just hold on to the SAF group insurance for the rest of my life after I start studying.... while it doesn't come with perks, it provides pretty good coverage at a relatively low cost. -
Just like us. While the hubby's still in the navy, insurance cost is exceptionally low. Is it health insurance you guys are talking about? How much do you pay in S'pore?
My hubby and I pay at least $1.5k a year for family rate. It includes hospital cover and some extras like physio, glasses, dental (major and minor) etc. -
