The PC does not boot up at all, there is no display whatsoever. All external and internal connects are all right(thank goodness for casings that use thumb screws). So its either my cmos battery or PSU.
Please let it not be my PSU >.<
Does your PC at least beep when you switch it on?
If you're not seeing anything on the monitor when you switch on the PC, there's a strong possibility your PSU is fried, especially if the cooling fan in the PSU doesn't even spin up. No biggie though--PSUs are dirt cheap nowadays.

All fans work, including the PSU's.
I'll change the battery first, then replace the PSU if necessary
I hate replacing PSU lah, so many cables to mess with(I am lazy)
I'm trying the batt because we did have a PC at work that refused to boot up and the tech support guys solved it by changing the battery
But how can my PSU spoil so fast? Only 2.5 years old, I dun leave my PC on 24/7, somemore I bought a decent one! (Targen)

Sounds about right for a PSU in the 350-to-450 watt range. I'd recommend going with a 500+ watt PSU for expandability, though.Originally posted by hisoka:i think 40 bucks? -
How old is your pc? If it's a few years old, it's likely the new motherboard which (it sounds like) you're likely to get will not be compatible with some of the old parts...which means you'll have to change those...and then in the end might end up with a completely new CPU ....like me.Originally posted by av98m: -
