I've just realised the box of potato chips that's nicely packaged with Japanese text, design and tagline (Enjoy with tea or moments of relaxation), etc - is actually made in China.

Just got back from the optician.
They managed to find a pair of frames that would just nicely fit the lenses from my broken spectacles.
Cost: $82.

not that into luncheon meat.
But sis love them.
Only like them occasionally, sliced thinly, fried till crispy and eaten with porridge.
they are good diced up in fried rice though. Used to cook them and folks eat them up readily enough.
I still prefer ham. -

i like the honey roasted ham chips from marks and spencer or st michaels whatever tis called.

To make french toast and not get it too soggy and soft.
dip the bread thru the egg mixture machiam like skimming the egg mixture.
And its best when the egg mixture contains grated parmesa cheese.
There is a nice mix of sugar and saltiness imparted by the cheese.
My nephew and neice likes them. Its sis's recipe actually.
I am contemplating bringing a big bottle of grated parmesan cheese back to Singapore. -

The cooks noticed that I dont liked it, and specially cooked a plate of spegetti and the parmesan for me to try.
I think I started liking cheese from then on.
One, it smells like durian, 1st time is also the more terrible smell. But after you got used to it. Its actually very appetising.
Two, some folks really made an effort for me to try out new stuffs. And I always appreciate that thereafter. -

grated parmesan cheese in Singapore, comes in packets.
I prefer the more powdery ones from Kraft that comes in those big containers with separate openings for how you want to pour out the cheese.
The one I am using now in USA got one opening at the top to sprinkle out the cheese and another opening to pour out the cheese.
And the cheese dont congulate into lumpy pieces in soups or stews like those thick grated ones in Singapore.
Milano pizza time, we experimented and found out that French Onion Soup, with lots of cheese in it. Is so much tastier and does not require those glusamte. -

Then I run downstairs to the hotel supermarket and manages to get a portion of camebert cheese. Those really good one.
Then I cut some pieces of the cheese to go with the wine.
Several old folks, came by and asked to taste the cheese with the wine.
Then some of them came back again to ask for more. Telling me it was really delicious with the wine and telling me that was the first time they ever paired the cheese and wine!
They were even asking me what is the name of the cheese!

But 5 years of good living kinda spoil me.
