I ask you. Did you ever mention in front of your printer, that you printing your research paper? Perhaps tell someone on the phone or someone in the house that 'u r printing ur research papers!'Originally posted by fudgester:I tried to print out a research paper.... but my printer seemed to run out of ink. The words were totally blurred and full of streaks.
Okay, fair enough... I replaced it with a fresh ink cartridge. The result was even worse.
Figuring that the printer head was dirty, I performed the cleaning function. Then I started printing the paper while I visited the toilet.... only to have 15 pages of totally blurred words and images.
I then performed deep cleaning and roller cleaning... the result was still the same.
In the end, I figured that it was the cartridge that was at fault. I replaced the cartridge... and now it works perfectly.
#@$#$*.... I must have wasted 20 pieces of good plain paper because of that faulty cartridge.![]()

how often you use your printer?Originally posted by fudgester:No sh*t? What brand is that? Lexmark?
Mine's a Canon ip1000 budget printer... I bought it at $79 from the NUS Co-Op.

Yeah.... I considered getting a laser printer, but they were expensive at that time. The cheapest laser printer could set you back by about $300 then.Originally posted by the Bear:yeah.. it's a Lexmark E120.. that's what it says on the thing
dad was not happy about it in the beginning saying the cartridge is expensive.. blah blah.. (it's about $96)
i told him that his silly ink cartridges are over $50 and they keep drying out because of low use.. toner does not dry
Originally posted by sbst275:Lexmark ink are ex... printer is cheap
That's why I changed to Canon years later
Yeah.... even with heavy usage, toners can last for a pretty long time.Originally posted by the Bear:i know.. but hey.. $96 for a toner cartridge isn't that expensive.. and i bet it'll last years as dad doesn't print much stuff.. he just needs like about 10 pages per month or something

I find the 2nd & 4th letter/dimension can shift somewhat (more left or more right), depending on your current mindset, situation, etc. but usually the 1st letter (E/I) and the 3rd (T/F) do not change if you had answered it truthfully the first time.Originally posted by the Bear:Myer-Briggs Type Indicators
i've changed throughout the years.. well... some bits of it
