The odds were totally against my having HBP, considering that:
1. I'm only 24 years old.
2. My BMI is a healthy 21.
3. I neither smoke nor drink.
4. I exercise regularly.
5. I have no known family history of HBP.
In the end, the trigger for that HBP episode was found to be simply pure stress.

While I was taking my O Levels eight years ago, I was battling urinary stress incontinence.
While I was taking my A Levels six years ago, I was battling tinnitus.
And now, just prior to my final year in NUS, I'm having a (suspected) cavernous haemangioma in my mouth. It's almost certainly benign, but minor surgery may be needed. The jury's still out on this - I'll be seeing a dermatologist at the end of the month.
I can't help but wonder if this is God's way of upping the ante for me to let me test the limits of my ability to cope with difficulties.

Eh...those testing unit eh choon buay? My mom has one but don't think it's very accurate. -

You are correct. I'm home by 6 p.m. most days. In fact, I normally get back to the house at around 4:15 p.m. -

when i did my physical and kena returned with a hbp, doctor asked me to monitor. actually, i rushed from work to go to the doctor's office so maybe, still kan cheong ah.
anyways, hubby kia su. asked me to buy the monitor. initially took the reading same day and the next, it showed high. but after that, came down and then got better reading than hubby's.
i tink choon bah. my girlfriend who really has hbp and taking medication for it, has the same brand. her readings still on the relatively high side. -
