you mean those who refuse to acknowlege that the grass on the other side is not necessarily greenerOriginally posted by fudgester:Nowadays I just lurk around the Speakers' Corner forums and only toss in my S$0.02 on rare occasions.
Simply put, there are too many extremists on both sides of the coin there... without giving any names, I'm sure you guys know who I'm referring to.
actually, things are definitely not cheap in kl. even for singaporeans, because of the exchange rate, things are only slightly cheaper if it is.Originally posted by fudgester:I'm in KL right now.
Honestly, I don't know where else I can go... I've already visited the places I wanted to visit.
I visited KLCC yesterday... the aquarium there is excellent. Kinda overpriced, though.... at RM38, the admission price is almost as expensive as the Underwater World (S$19.50).

I know people like that. No need to come online to vent, they do perfectly fine venting in person.Originally posted by Fatum:you know ... I think the way some people conduct themselves in the forums is symptomatic of a repressed society .....
we get it left right and center every day in a rice cooker .... from the bosses, from the teachers, from the spouses, from the neighbours ....
so when they come online, their pent up anger at the world comes boiling through ...![]()

The first generation leaders definitely did a fantastic job. We went from having no army to having the best armed forces in the region, our national airline became one of the world's best, our public transport, public housing and libraries are all world class etc. Of course, mistakes were also made but hindsight is always 20/20.Originally posted by hisoka:they prob chose not to. anyway, not to take credit from the rulling party, they have done well, but still lots of things to be improved![]()
why didn't you just lock your door b4 leaving?Originally posted by viciouskitty74:Lots of grumbles.
To think, my tenants was telling me on email how they have been tidying the house.
It wasnt. Its still as messy as when I left Singapore, and the toliet was so full of knee high moulds.....I had to even scrub the whole toliet bowl with bleach & soap.
Went shopping for cleaning supplies 4 hours after I landed.
And My room is filthy and it stinks. Thanks to that angmo boy leaving his worn socks in my wardrobe, my drawers, out on the laundry in the room and he stank up the mattress, pillows & bolster so much. I had to throw everything out.
I finally managed to get new pillows & bolster. And as a treat, got myself a 4 inch seahorse foam mattress.
Can say that past 3 nights, I slept on the dirty floor with only a roll up towel as my pillow.
And last night, I went down to station and was officially cancelling my leave to take over some duties while some folks prepares to retire.
Now, in a expensive cyber cafe and going to race course road to collect bike keys and going to take the bike from Bishan.
Then......its durian at geylang with friends.
On another note. Father has gone over to Cambodia. I requested to go over Cambodia instead of Thailand in Sept. He has also assured me again. That the thailand house. I am given the 2nd floor as my living quaters. Sooooo.....for trips to Phuket.....you guys can bunk with me, use the twin cab pick up instead of paying for room and transport. All you guys has to do is to buy the cheap air tickets.
