  oh.. i noticed something during my ICT stint...
  
  in that 8 days i was in the medical centre, there were a few accidents.. some guy got his foot run over by a vehicle.. another got his finger hurt when piece of equipment fell on it...
  
  then it occurred to me.. in my 2 years at the medical centre when i was doing my active duty, there were no such accidents... there weren't any of these ISO and whatever nonsense too... we just used our common sense and did what we had to do...
  
  now with the ISO and all this BS, no one thinks anymore and are more interested in following the SOP so much so that common sense and being careful takes a backseat to the ISO SOP...
  
  and we get more accidents..

  problem is we cannot exxercise commonsense normally in the army.
  
  otherwise, they won't be dunking pple or asking pple who are untested to throw grenades and hope nothing happens. actually i stil don't understand why they don't aonly allow greade throwing at the end of the bmt. or maybe they now at end of bmt the troops might get pissed enough
