okz in brief.
each sem each person get 1000 points, for engin, 700 into program 300 in general. each fac is diff, like arts i think has almsot 900 into general if i remember correctly.
so program points can only be used for core modules bidding and normally those you can get with jsut 1 point and if there are no places you can always complain to get them to admit you. so basically every sem you get 69x points that will never be used.
general can be used for other stuff to fufil like electives we need to clear, but because we get so little, very often enginnering students get outbidded outright -

i'm paid hourly, so i will love nothing better then hanging around in da office not doing work and earning money.

We Engin guys get 750 points and 250 points respectively per semester. Other faculties get different point allocations... if I'm not wrong, Arts and Social Sciences get 400 points for General.
The Programme account is ostensibly for the core Engineering modules... so we supposedly get more as a result. In practice, though, our core modules are all virtually guaranteed to us. We end up bidding just one point for each core module.
On the other hand, the General account is needed to bid for cross-faculty modules. And because of our lower General account point allocation, we face a very severe disadvantage when bidding for those modules. And the really stupid thing is that we absolutely need a few cross-faculty modules that are not offered by Engin.
To illustrate what I mean.... at the moment I have 4350 Programme Account points (which are almost totally useless) and just 595 General Account points (which I desperately need). -

So those with more General points have a wider choice so to speak...and engine stu with only 250 have fewer choices. Do every core require the same amount of points to bid? Same for electives?
For Prog core...I assume there will be enough of such classes for every engine student, right, since some modules are progressive...as in having to take 101 before one can take 201 at the next level. -

Aaaanyway. Finally done with the chores. How much dirt can three people generate.
I'm always in my room, my dad's always in his room, and my mom's always in the living room, dropping hair all over the place. Making the place dirty and blaming it on me and/or my dad...
I always clean after myself, my dad too, but given the state he's in now, i help him out. My mom refuses to clean after herself, like she's the queen or something. Argh.
Anyway, my dad just told me, back then in 1885-87, golf freeways all connected to one hole. Every time spectators had to move, it became pretty congested. So some wise guy came up with the idea to give every hole their own freeway. -

At this rate, next semester I'll have 5000++ Programme Account points to bid for ONE module which I can get for ONE point.
And right now I cannot get the module that I want (Forensic Science) because some Science and Arts dorks with huge amounts of General Account points are completely spoiling the market. At last count, the highest bid was 2000++ points, and the second-lowest bid was 600 points.
And I have just 595 points. Since there are over 500 bidders for 400 places, I've effectively been knocked out.
