The thing is...the blouse is so squarish looking coz it was cut from some paper patterns. i need my friend to help me thead up the machine. as in where should the thread go thru etc.
all this done behind's my teachers back for the test. -

practical i still can managed (cooking team up with my best friend who cooks while i washes)... sewing (bring home get aunty to help, my mum is worse than me in tis)...
it's the theory part tat is headache... i ever score 3/50 for a test! my home e teacher almost heart attack -

That is the only part I enjoy for Home E
I hate sewing though
It's ok Keii. Most girls these days can't cook/sew so it's a good thing you know (or bad coz u will be the one doing it) -
Sometimes I think it's the inner rebel in me
I remember my dad used to tell me when I'm younger that because I'm a girl, I have to do the housework, know how to cook and sew blah blah blah, and I told him that is not going to happen coz that is unfair. Why is it the girls have to do it and not the guys (Yes my dad is very old fashioned)
My mum tells my brother he has to know how to do all those stuff just in case his wife doesn't know
Anyway, I told my dad very confidently then that if I dunno how to do all those stuff, I will make sure my husband knows (Yes I married a man who sews better then me and does housework better then me) I won't say he cooks better then me though he is a good cook himself -

Yes, similar, that is also why I like Art. Despite having to be graded for it, I find it is an escape from the academic subjects and is quite relaxing.
I didn't find the practical stuff like sewing and cooking difficult because it was basically following instructions - as long as you followed them carefully the end result may not be a masterpiece but will be at least average-looking /tasting
I'm handy with the sewing machine - it only goes forward and backwards But that's partly because I loathe the alternative - hand-stitching - too slow and tedious! Originally posted by elindra:Isn't that like during Art & Craft?

D&T also requires a lot of precise designs and following of instructions
