My art teacher is bias towards poster color paintings

I cannot see how my water color paintings lose to the the poster color ones and not to brag but I feel that my drawings are definately way better but she always says "Not solid looking enough" WTF. Water colour no matter how much colour I layer on will never be as "solid" as poster colour ma
In the end I switched to colour pencils and saw my grades jump

The funniest thing was this design contest for banana chips
I submitted it late and got 3rd prize for it
Then I realised that I lost to the 1st prize winner by 1 mark and the 2nd price by 1/2 a mark
When I looked at the 2 winning designs I was

coz I was wondering if they were marking on the design factor or the still life painting factor

Reason? 1st prize and 2nd prize winners had very realistic looking bananas on their packaging. They only had like a banana or a bunch of bananas on the front with the words 'Banana Chips' on the packaging

Packaging colour ...one was a muddy brown the other was green.
My packaging however was loud and fun and the banana was pretty abstract

(You can tell it is a banana but not realistic looking like theirs)
My packaging was red and I had a drawing of a banana half peeled with the banana slowly morphing into chips (with some parts sliced) and I had some chips around the packaging, with funky fonts
Ever since that day, I concluded that I cannot live with such blurred lines on my work
