btw, i think hippo has been hoodwinked into thinking broccoli actually still has those agents...
for the cancer-fighting things, you have to eat the original broccoli... which smells worse than smelly tofu and tastes like someone ground up some bush, mixed the sludge with sewerage and forced you to gargle with the juice...
the current stuff we have is useless.. they've genetically engineered an artificial plant

For Bear:
Title: Broccoli Pie
Categories:
Yield: 6 Servings
1 lg Onion; chopped
3 tb Cooking oil
4 Eggs; lightly beaten
4 c Chopped broccoli; cooked
2 c (8oz) shredded mozzarella
1 lb Ricotta cheese
1/3 c Grated Parmesan cheese
1/4 ts Salt
ds Nutmeg
1 .. 9" single pastry crust
Preheat oven to 350°. Line pie dish with pastry.
Saute onion in oil until tender, about 5 minutes.
Combine with eggs, broccoli, cheese, salt and
nutmeg. Pour into pie shell; bake 50 to 55 minutes
or until a knife inserted near the center comes
out clean.
Makes 6 to 8 servings. -
