hmm.. thinking back, my office hamsters... they loved the smelliest things around..
between sunflower seed, egg, chicken, dried cod strips and dried stinky cuttlefish, they make a bee-line for the cuttlefish..
we figured it was because of the smell.. so we mixed them together, and still, they ate the cuttlefish first..

My ex-White Mice Love Panda Cake..my mom was so furious when she found out that the panda cake she made the entire afternoon had been fed to the lovely Mice ....(i missed my cute babies)..

Also just watched another film by the same director, Avalon (I think the WOWers should watch this one )
Mamoru Oshii is also the person behind the Ghost In The Shell anime.
Notice he has this thing for basset hounds, if you watch all his shows -

that hamster has long passed on.. he lived for 3 1/2 years.. and for about 2 1/4 of those years, he lived exclusively on junk food and other things which were definitely not hamster food
