Come visit me and we go eat the famous claypot kway png near my place (must call in advance to order one ok, they cook each order from scratch!!)Originally posted by jetta:I was teasing ah Bear. But thanks for your input.Truthfully, I have been thinking about moving back for a while now.
I'm just tired of living in a land where guns are readily available and any idiot can one own. I'm tired of drugs that are freely available and the high crime rate here. The hubster's not Sgporean but having lived there for 3 years, he loved it and still loves it. He's the one who wants to move back there but unless he gets hired by a company that will pay for moving costs, we aren't in a position to move back.Originally posted by the Bear:nope.. there is the scenario which is painted by those who insist on holding on to power by any means necessary...
and there is slow and gradual change for the better by a responsible people..
the thing is that, in order to keep power, politicians have always talked about "responsible people" but cultivating the greedy and irresponsible selfish people as an electorate.. it's easier to control a selfish people...
we break free of that, and become a responsible people, we've effectively made the powers do the same.. become responsible and work to serve the people instead of serve themselves...
oft misused (to incite violence and revolution) but undeniable in its truest sense: the people should not be afraid of the powers, the powers should be afraid of the people

You see lah. Knowing what I know now, how to sleep?
Thought of that but with no job in hand, we're too chicken. Also, the kids' education... I'll have to put them in the American school and they have a hefty price tag. I forgot to say we will need the company to foot that bill too. I'm not asking too much.Originally posted by the Bear:how about flogging everything there and coming here, using that money gained by flogging everything there and buying new furniture and stuff?
it's safe here and all that
thing about here is that, we know it can be better, but we're being told it cannot which riles us... still, we can live with that
hope the application is successful

Apparently if you read's darkmirage's post. Odex has been challenged by 1 fella with his lawyer, but hey refused it. And so far no further action has been taken against him.
And they use threats of 10k fine and jail term to scare someone, but they cannot have a criminal case on you.
Does this means that odex is not even sure of winning the case itself?
