Whatever the case, this episode can't be good for the control of my blood pressure. The very fact that I'm holding on to money that isn't mine, and that I would have to help them rectify their mistake is really making my blood boil.
I already have plenty of things to handle without having Sentosa Corp screwing up over something which isn't even my fault to begin with.
I quit my workplace on good terms... I still keep in touch with over 20 of my former colleagues. And now the supervisors just HAD to dump all that goodwill out the window.
Gonna go take a nap. Hopefully I would have cooled down by then. -

But self pride is =/= hubris
If one does not have a tiny bit of self pride, one does not have any self esteem at all.
Although excessive pride is subjective there is still a differentiation between self-pride and hubris -

hubris is excessive self- pride. or at least thats the definition i think is common. correct me if wrong. if excessive self-pride is subjective then hubris is subjective. thus every one is guilty of it. now, if we put the reference level at zero, then any one who has the least bit of self-esteem has hubris.Originally posted by elindra:Everyone has some self pride

I think you should just stop complicating things for yourself because if pride is at ground 0, having some pride would mean you are at ground zero too but an excessive amount of it to say 1 would be hubris since for every measurement there is still room for some variance.
