  in my previous company, I lost almost 20 days leaves/off-in-lieu every year...and I still love my job until the new boss came and screwed everything up....3/4 of the staffs left (and that's include me).

  basically, if it was my way, i'd just go ask the guy.. but the guy will drone on for about 2 hours... i think he's a bit senile..
  
  then being senile, he tends to ask a lot of questions even in email which doesn't concern him..
  
  i don't really give a flying rat's ass about it... so i get answers for him so that things move through..
  
  the boss, however, is not happy that i provide answers for him (WTF??) and insists that we provide him with just the 'necessary information'
  
  i'm thinking: the senile fella actually has a point when he asks some of the questions..
  
  now i don't even know how to start to formally write to him to loan the things..
  
  the boss is... i dunno.. says she doesn't care about formality and rank and all that.. but this betrays what she actually thinks... i'm supposed to ask to loan the things without telling him the information he wants to know.. which my boss insists is 'irrelavant and he doesn't have to know'
