I had already told them beforehand that before I return any money to them, I wanted to see that they had properly accounted for every single cent that was due to me and that I was supposed to return to them. And two of the supervisors agreed to my demand.
And when I got there, guess what - they still hadn't factored in the CPF deductions. And the person in charge of this wasn't it.
I growled at the supervisor who saw me: 'Do you know that I'm supposed to be in school AT THIS VERY MOMENT? Do you have any idea just how much you have messed up my life over something which ISN'T my fault to begin with?'
And the clincher: 'Do you know that I've been holding back my temper so far, and that you're REALLY, REALLY pushing it?'
She offered to pay for a taxi ride to school, but I rejected it.
When it comes to errors of this scale.... I can't be bought off with a simple taxi ride.
And I'm still waiting for them to get back to me with the proper accounting statements. -
