Here in So Cal, the power company has asked us to help conserve energy and not tax the power grid. So our store's running on half the usual a/c power. For the past few days, it's been uncomfortable at work.
Even so, I'm not looking forward to winter. How do you tahan the extreme cold up there MG, I'll never know....
Yes, the winters here can be brutal, but like everything else, you adapt and get used to it. It's all you can do to not get a heart attack every time you receive your natural gas bill. -

Where I lived in Japan for six years isn't as cold as where you're at in MN but it was hard on all of us. Being cold just drains my energy and spontaneity. So I salute you. That's a big reason why I won't move back to Seattle. Did I tell you that the fil and grand mil came down last week for the hubster's retirement ceremony? Speaking of gas bills, I met this couple who are originally from So Cal who moved up to IA. They spent 3 years there and called it quits. They couldn't take the cold and the gas bill. So they're back here. They told me that they prefer the heat anytime. Sounds familiar huh? -

hmm.. long ago when i was doing my NS, some maniac shot his CSM.. i use the term "maniac" because during the trial, he said he "felt like Chow Yun Fatt"
for the longest time after that, every time anyone kena do sai-kang like wash the Land Rover or sun the camo nets, they will say "i suddenly feel like Chow Yun Fatt" -

Funny you should say that. After getting a little educated about a/c's, I think my central a/c isn't strong enough to cool the 2nd level. I practise those habits you mentioned but I'm getting our Sears guys to come over and advise me. I hope it won't be an expensive fix. *sign of the cross* -

Asked the Sales guy and apparently he is our neighbour but we didn't recognize him
