Good morning all.... hope everyone had a good weekend!
I had a very good weekend.... went to see Bourne Ultimatum on Sat with hubby and his family. Yesterday, after the morning service, hubby & I went to explore the Dandenong Ranges.
First, we stopped at a tearoom for morning tea where hubby had apple cake and I had banana bread. While we enjoyed our morning tea, we also enjoyed watching the nice parrots (Rosella) having a feed outside the window where we sat.
Next, we went to
William Ricketts Sanctuary . The sculptures look absolutely amazing. We ended up spending about an hour there looking around.
After that, we had lunch at a restaurant near the WR Sanctuary where hubby ordered pan-fried scallop and prawn salad and I ordered the roast of the day. That was an enjoyable meal at a nice little restaurant surrounded by nice garden with some sculptures and more parrots.
After lunch, we decided it was time for us to burn off some calories. We went for a walk at the National Park where we either walk up the steep hill or take the 1000 steps up. We chose to walk up the steep hill and take the steps on the way back.
Walking up the hill proved to be a challenging one especially when I haven't done that for a long time. I was so puffed out that I had to stop every few minutes. An hour later we finally got up to the top of the hill where we stopped briefly to rest. Then we headed back down via the 1000 steps. Going downhill can be just as challenging as going uphills but still I'd prefer going downhill. Anyway, felt really good after the walk.... we did at least 2km altogether just under 2 hours.
So that was our weekend. Tonight, hubby and I will be going out to a restaurant at St. Kilda to celebrate our 2nd wedding anniversary.
