I bought a box of 4 (lotus seed paste) 2 weeks ago. I had 2 so far.... and both of them consumed at my in-law's place. I didn't give them the whole mooncake as I wasn't sure if they like it. Anyway, my mother-in-law seems to enjoy it more than my father-in-law does.Originally posted by Wanda:Ppl buy early to give away to in-laws, etc. and to eat?

We can get those made by Vietnamese Chinese and it doesn't taste very good. And some of them with just pork fats instead of meat inside.Originally posted by Wanda:How come no dumpling in Oz? Too much work to make?
I too prefer the savoury dumpling anytime. I tried the Ho Kee dumpling ($2 each) over the weekend, and it was very good, altho' it was a bit salty and a tad strong on the spices. Will likely buy again.![]()
